My GF got me this for xmas, did this a a week ago or so when it didnt have a scratch on it lol...gonna get some action shots of it soon hopefully Ken Block Traxxas Fiesta by togish1, on Flickr
nah just electric...brushless motor...can go 50+mph if i hook up two batteries to it, although i see no purpose of it since it already gets up and goes...trying to get better at drifting....and it calms my urge to do stupid S**T with my car lol
Love it. So nice and scratch free too. I have an old beat to hell HPI Savage truck that has been dead after a brutal crash a year ago. Need to rip apart the engine one day and hopefully resurrect it.
Tolga yours looks hot!! What scale can't tell ?? I have a couple of 1/10 scale on road myself - tc3 & tc4 - forgive the home paint jobs on them ----every crash = $$$ but fun! We even have a couple of off-road buggys & also have a big 1/5th scale one too
Oh look an RC car thread, lol.... Wait till you discover the joy of painting your own bodies... Nice shot... Here's some from a parking lot race that was held along with a car show over at Tanger Deer Park... I couldn't race that day so I went down and snapped some photos. The site it's on is long dead, all the local tracks are gone... http://lihobbyinfo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=423 For action shots, use the longest lens you own, center point and continuous focus... They are so small it gets tough to follow them lol. But the longer the lens, the further back you are and the less you have to travel when panning. I'd try for about 1/100 on pans and use 1/500 for head on shots.
Brandon 1/5 is big & was a lot of fun & $$ - the club dispersed and the car just sits - I have a chassis 2 bodies & a shitload of parts - lots of $$ - if you guys know anyone who would revive it & have fun with themselves or kid just let me know
Did I hear 5th scale??? Old body but when you travel to races you gotta contain the smell somehow of keeping the car in your motel room, lol... My FG Evo 7 with no body on it... Engine was built by Alro motors in Brittan, 4 wheel hydraulic disks... Oh yea, all crappy point and shoot pictures, lol...
Nice Allan now I have to dig out mine!!! These things don't compare to the 1/10th scale - they were like real cars that were shrunk down ...lol Love your car Allan
It's apart on my work bench, I have 3 5th scale cars but 2 are real old I've had them for a long time and the only parts available are the spares I have... How about some 12th scale??? Off road? My AE B4 and T4 I had to go digging to find these pics, they are pretty old...
WOW!!!! Makes me want to take mine out of hibernation for 2 years. I have an Associated Monster GT (been in the shop 2 years now becasue parts are so hard to find) and my go-to HPI Firestorm 1/10 scale "truggy." I love it, last year I didn't get to play with it much. My girlfriend is more important than it, but now that she hears me talk about it, she wants to play with it and race it. Well at least by her I can chase the deer with it LOL!!! Fast for a stock out of the box r/c truggy. So now, we can shoot and race our cars together and take pictures. Winning!
I have a MGT with a blown differential, I have a differential I got off ebay I've just been too lazy to fix it. I took out the stock engine and replaced with a Siri .26 and all it does is wheelie when it's not ripping itself apart. I've been in the hobby for 35 years, since I was a kid in the 70's so I've accumulated a lot... Every so often I sell some vintage stuff off...
That's awesome. It's another expensive hobby of mine...besides photography, golf, hockey...the list goes on and on.
I have to go through and sell some stuff off... I have a lot of cars set up to race on carpet tracks and there are none left so it's kinda pointless to keep them... I do have a foam race track for Mini-z's... It's gonna get set up in the new studio so we can race instead of work lol
I just drove past the indoor race track in Farmingdale, forgot the name of the place and they closed shop!! Also, the hobby shop in Amityville on Merrick rd I used to go to, his buddy took over the shop and moved here to Lindenhurst actually 2 mins from me and just the other day I saw he closed. None of the hobby shops are open anymore. I also used to go to Unique Hobbies in Wantagh-Bellmore area, but he closed shop too!
wow i didnt know u guys were into this stuff...mines a 1/16th...i love it, its so much fun...the body has been through hell on it now tho lol....im gonna buy another shell and use that for show and the old one for driving
It's an expensive hobby, especially for me racing with Nitro methane fuel. Pain in the a** to maintain. Everytime you crash, depending on how serious the crash and how much you know about fixing them it'll cost ya. As my family calls it the "money pit" hobby. But it doesn't matter as long as I'm having fun. I'll look for pictures of mine now and I'll post them.
