HDR's are images of different exposure and merging them in a program such as Photomatix.

Images are normally done with at least 3 images one image being properly exposed with 1 image 1 stop under and the other 1 stop over. I do 7 images with 1 stop increments. -1, -2, -3 0, +1, +2, +3.

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range

If that is a HDR picture, I like it alot. It caught my eye how the car was in motion and has that blur. Looks awesome regardless HDR or not. :ok:

The way the car is staggered like that, rather than a smooth blur - indicates to me that this is a true HDR process with multiple exposures. Yes its HDR, but thats not exactly a complete answer to 'how do you do that?' ... :) That would be like someone asking Michaelangelo how he did a piece of art and he said "Its paint, dummy". Lol.

I would also agree it's HDR, maybe like 6 exposures and then major tweaking to get those effects. I'm a bit confused why the bus is that far right, it mustn't be moving to give the photog time to do the shoot as that looks like an active lane or maybe a turning lane - the bus is very important in the framing IMHO but I just wish I would comprehend why its where its at. Tell your friend I like it & send him over to the forum to join up.

    Only if I ask
usually its an odd number of exposures since you have a properly exposed and a stop over and one under etc. I'm counting 5 from the runners leg.
I like the image, never done HDR with moving subjects in the frame.

P.S. I don't want to be a hard a** but i'm assuming you have the rights to post your friends picture. When you don't best thing to do is post a link to the original image location.

    ;)

most likely the bus was stopped in the lane at a bus stop....the bus terminal appears to be across the street diagonally from where it's parked so that is probably where it picks up its passengers since the road in front of the Bus station is only 2 lanes compared to the 3 lanes where the bus is parked....idk though just my opinion. however the door would be on the traffic side of things......no idea haha.
