This is from an outdoor market in Amsterdam, a large section was dedicated to plants and flowers. As an ex desert dweller I would like to show what many people don't realize...that cactus not only bloom but are quite colorful. Spring was always a great time in Phoenix and this weather only makes me miss it more.
Thanks. While I usually do some small tweaking with Elements, small adjustments to brightness, contrast and saturation, this one is untouched. I kind of like the way the yellow flowers are the center of attention and that they are sort of surrounded in a sea of color. But I do understand what you mean if all the flowers were sharp.
Nice , I think as stated the depth of field is an issue here. More of it or less and more pinpoint would be better.
Wow very cool shot, I agree with the dof, maybe a little sutte vignette my help as well, bt I done like the shot alot.
I appreciate the subdued colors of the spines in sharp contrast to the amazingly vivid colors of the flowers. They are right about the depth of field, however as it stands it really makes the yellow ones the main focus and I like that because then it draws my eye right up to the blue. good work! I might have cropped a little off the left to center the yellow.
